The Loxo mobile iOS app is a Beta feature designed to be a Communication Companion that works alongside your Loxo account. The focus of the app is to make connecting with the people in your Loxo database as easy as connecting with those in your phone's contacts.
The mobile app is currently only available for iOS devices. We continue to work towards an app for Android devices.
Download the Loxo iOS Mobile App
The first step to using Loxo's companion app is to download the app from the App Store. The instructions below explain where to find the Loxo iOS app and how to add it to your device.
On your iOS device, go to the App Store and search for Loxo.
Find the Loxo Owl and click the button on the right to download and install the app. If needed, follow the prompts from the App Store to approve of the download.
Click 'Open' once the app has been downloaded.
Log in to the Loxo App
Once the app has been downloaded to your iPhone, you can find it in your App Library. The first time you open the app, you will be prompted to log in to your Loxo account. You can then decide whether you want it to log you out every time you shut the app or retain your login status for when you return.
To continue, you should have already downloaded the Loxo iOS app to your mobile device. You can follow the above instructions to download the app.
To log in to the Loxo App, find the Loxo App on your device.
Or you can search your App Library for "Loxo" and click Open.
Enter the email address associated with your Loxo Account and your Loxo Password.
Click 'Sign In'
Viewing Your People Page and Person Profiles in the App
When you log in to the app, you will be brought to the People page of your account. This page provides a summary view of your people, and you can click into each person's profile from this page. Follow the instructions below to view your contacts in Loxo.
Log in to your Loxo mobile app following the above instructions.
Upon logging in, you will be brought to your People page. Similar to your Loxo database on a web browser, your contacts will be listed in order based on whose profile was updated recently, with the most recent updates found at the top.
To view a specific person's profile, click the arrow on the right of the person's record.
The person's profile will open. You can view the Profile, Activity, or Details by moving through the tabs located across the top of the Candidate Profile view.
Call Someone Using the Loxo iOS App
The Loxo iOS App is a great communication companion. You can call directly via the Loxo iOS App from any page within a person's record.
To call someone using the Loxo iOS App, open a person's record.
At the bottom of the person's record, you will see a phone icon.
Note: The telephone icon will show up whether you are in the person's Profile, Activity page, or Details view.
Click the telephone icon. This will show the list of phone numbers on the person's profile. Click the number to begin the call or click 'Cancel' to close the pop-up.
Once a call has been completed, any notes or activities associated with the phone call can be logged in Loxo via your regular account. The mobile app does not automatically log activities, and it does not enable note-taking at this time.
Send a Text in the Loxo iOS App
The Loxo iOS App is a great communication companion. You can send texts directly via the Loxo iOS App, from any page within a Person's record.
When you send SMS/text messages from the Loxo iOS App, the message will be sent from the mobile phone number associated with your device.
To text someone using the Loxo iOS App, click into a Person's record.
At the bottom of the person's record, you will see a mobile phone icon.
Note: The mobile phone icon will be available whether you are in the person's Profile, Activity page, or Details view.Click on the mobile phone icon to view a list of numbers available on the person's profile. Click the number to open a new SMS window. Click 'Cancel' to close the texting pop-up.
Type your SMS message and click send.
Once a text has been sent, any notes or activities associated with the SMS activity can be logged in Loxo via your regular account. The mobile app does not automatically log activities.
If a person responds to your text message sent from the Loxo iOS app, the response will appear in your regular messaging app, along with your message. The response will not be logged in Loxo automatically at this time.
Send an Email Using the Loxo iOS App
The Loxo iOS App is a great communication companion. You can email directly via the Loxo iOS App, from any page within a person's record.
To email someone using the Loxo iOS App, click into a person's record.
At the bottom of the person's record, you will see an envelope icon.
Note: The envelope icon will be available whether you are in the person's Profile, Activity page, or Details view.Click on the envelope icon to view a list of emails available on the profile. Click the email address to open a new email window. Click 'Cancel' to close the pop-up.
Select the email address from which you want the email to be sent. You'll also be able to enter a subject line and compose the body of your email here.
To use Forms or Person Tags in your message, click the +Insert button at the bottom of the email draft.
Use the drop-down arrows on the right to select from your Forms and Tags.
To track metrics on the email you send, click the three dots at the bottom, to the left of the "Send" button.
Check the boxes for any of the tracking metrics you would like to add to the email.
Click "Send."
Once an email has been sent, any notes or activities associated with the email activity can be logged in Loxo via your regular account. The mobile app does not automatically log activities at this time.
