The Deals tab in Loxo's Sales CRM tracks commercial BD opportunities — clients who are ready to buy a search, retainer, RPO, or other engagement. Deals are where you attach revenue, close dates, and win probability so leadership can forecast accurately and the team knows which accounts to prioritize.
What is a Deal?
A Deal represents a named commercial opportunity with a path to revenue. It sits alongside Prospects and Pitches in the Sales CRM as the opportunity-led column of your BD funnel.
Set Up a Deal Pipeline
Before adding Deals, sketch out your organization's sales conversion process. You can build multiple pipelines — by industry, team member, or workflow type — and modify them as your strategy evolves.
Navigate to the Sales CRM page by clicking the $ icon in the left navigation bar.
Click the List icon in the upper right corner.
Click + Create New Pipeline.
Add a Pipeline Name. Pipeline names must be unique — if you create multiple, use a distinct identifier for each.
Set a Rotting Age — the number of days a task can be open before it displays in red as overdue.
Add your Deal Stages. Four starter stages are provided; customize, add, or remove stages to fit your process.
Assign a Win Probability percentage to each stage. This is your confidence in closing the deal at that stage, and is used to calculate the Expected Deal Value shown at the top of the pipeline.
Set each stage type: mark final stages as Successful or Unsuccessful; all other stages should be In Progress.
Click Create to save the pipeline.
To edit a pipeline later, click the List icon, then the pencil icon next to the pipeline name. To set a pipeline as your default (the one that loads first when you open the Sales CRM), check Use as default Pipeline in the edit screen.

Pipeline and List Views
Pipeline (Kanban) view
The Pipeline view is a drag-and-drop Kanban board. Move Deals between stages by dragging cards. Two values appear in the upper left corner of the pipeline:
Total Deal Value — the sum of all Deals in the pipeline.
Expected Deal Value — the weighted value, calculated by multiplying each Deal's value by the Win Probability of its current stage.
Applying filters or searching narrows the Deals shown and updates both values to reflect only the filtered results.
List view
The List view shows all Deals across all stages in a table. Sort and filter by Deal name, owner, stage, company, and more. Account admins can add custom fields to the grid using the Gear icon in the upper right — custom fields are available across all pipelines.
When a Deal is Won
Move the Deal to the Successful stage when the client commits. From there, create or link a Job on the ATS side to begin sourcing and delivery. Because the Deal card is already linked to the client company and hiring contact, context transfers without re-entry — your delivery team has everything they need from day one.
You can also attach documents — NDAs, signed terms, pitch decks — to the Deal card so the handoff to delivery is fully self-contained.
Key Deal Fields
Field | Why it matters |
Deal Name | Identifies the specific opportunity — useful when a client has multiple open deals. |
Amount | Estimated fee or contract value. Aggregates into Total and Expected Deal Value for forecasting. |
Organization & Contacts | Links the deal to the client company and all relevant stakeholders in Loxo's database. |
Expected Close Date | Target date for signed paperwork or contract. Drives monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts. |
Stage & Win Probability | Where the deal sits in the pipeline. Moving stages logs an audit trail and updates Expected Deal Value automatically. |
