Once you have been approved to send A2P SMS messaging through one of our VOIP partners, the steps below will explain how you can use your VOIP integration to send SMS/text messages in Loxo. Note that at this time, MMS messages (pictures & videos) are not supported.

Send an SMS Text Message
Once you have set up your account with one of our VOIP partners and connected the integration with Loxo, you can follow the steps below to use your integration to send SMS to your candidates and contacts. Note: sending texts in-app is only available with our Twilio and RingCentral integrations. For RingOver users, SMS can be sent directly in their applications, and the events will be automatically logged into Loxo on the contact's profile.
To send SMS in Loxo:
Open a candidate's profile and select the phone icon:

2. Select the messenger icon next to the phone number:
3. Type your message. You can use Merge Tags here to personalize your text message, or use a pre-made SMS template. These can be created and stored under Settings > Templates > SMS. You can learn more about Tags and Templates in the guides below:

Frequently Asked Questions About Sending SMS
Can I edit a scheduled text message before it is sent out?
No, you will not be able to edit a scheduled text message before it is sent. You are able to delete and reschedule a text message before it hits its scheduled send time. To do this:
1. Click the three dots at the bottom of the navigation bar.
2. Select your SMS Log.
3. Once in the Log, find the message(s) you wish to delete and select the trash can icon to the far right.
Where do text replies go?
For Twilio users, text replies will go to your email address from noreply@loxo.co. RingCentral users can access their texts in Loxo and in the RingCentral app. RingOver text messages will be managed directly in their applications.
Which phone number will SMS messages be sent to if someone has multiple numbers?
Who receives replies for a single SMS?
By default, SMS replies will go to the last Loxo user who sent the contact a text.If we receive an SMS from a contact number that isn’t associated with a person's profile, where does the SMS notification go?
An email notification is sent to the first Admin in the agency alphabetically.
Who receives replies for campaign SMS messages?
By default, SMS replies will go to the last Loxo user who sent the contact a text, the campaign creator, and whoever added the contact to the campaign - potentially 3 people.
Required Unsubscribe
We are constantly staying on top of texting rules and regulations in order to ensure both our company and our customers (that is you!) are remaining within the legal regulations of calling and texting.
It is now required that, once a person grants opt-in consent, the initial text sent to that person must have this verbiage: 'Reply STOP if not interested.'
If the candidate responds "STOP" to unsubscribe from texts from you, you will then be automatically blocked from texting this number again out of Loxo. When they respond stop they will receive a follow-up confirmation text like so:
If they decide to resubscribe to your texts, they will have to text back "START" at any point in time, and this will automatically lift the block on your account!
