Add Color-Coded Job Tags to a Job

Color code your Jobs with Job Tags

Job Tags are labels that allow you to use color coding to organize your jobs. Color-coding is not required, but can be helpful to easily distinguish jobs at a glance. You can color-code or tag jobs from the main Jobs page, and also from the Overview tab of each job individually. Additionally, Job Tags can serve a dual purpose by categorizing job postings for seamless job board integration, enabling effective alignment with external industry requirements.

If you are trying to change the list of Job Tags that show in a Job, you must be an admin for your agency. See these instructions to change the list of Job Tags.

Color-Code Jobs from the Main Jobs Page

Follow the steps below to color-code your Jobs from the main Jobs page.

  1. Go to the Jobs page and make sure you are on the "Jobs" tab at the top.

  2. On the right-hand side of each job, there is a color bar that can be used to manage Job Tags. By default, this will be blank or white.

  3. Click the color bar to display a dropdown menu of your Job Tags, including any color-coding that has been configured by an admin in the agency Settings.

  4. Select the Job Tags you want to assign to that job, then click out of the drop-down menu. You can add multiple Tags to one job. This is a great tool to use to easily distinguish and filter your jobs without requiring different job statuses.

Color-Code Jobs from the Job Overview

Follow the steps below to color-code a Job from the Jobs page.

  1. Open the Job you want to edit.

  2. Click the "Overview" tab at the top.

  3. Locate the "Fields" section.

  4. Click the "Tags" bar to open your dropdown menu.

  5. Check the box to add the relevant Tag(s).

To manage the Job Tags and color-coding available for Jobs, an account admin can navigate to Settings > Tags > Job. Refer to our Help Center guide for more information about customizing Job Tags.
