Set up Your RingCentral Number in Loxo

Sync your RingCentral phone number in Loxo

Whether you are new to RingCentral or have a number already, Loxo makes it easy to add your dedicated phone number to your account. If your Loxo plan does not include phone and SMS, reach out via Live Chat to talk about upgrading for that functionality.

Note: Phone integrations work across your whole team, so if you enable RingCentral, then your whole team will shift to RingCentral. You can not utilize different phone providers within the same team in Loxo.

This article explains the simple steps to enable the RingCentral integration and sync your RingCentral number with your Loxo account.


Enable the RingCentral Integration for Your Agency

Whether you are setting up one number for your whole team to share or adding an individual number for each person, adding a RingCentral number to your Loxo account is a few easy clicks.

Note: You must be an Admin for your Loxo account to enable the RingCentral integration for your whole team.

You can enable the RingCentral integration following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to your Settings page and select Integrations.

  2. Locate the RingCentral option and switch the "Enable Integration" toggle to ON.

  3. Click Save on the right so that you and your team can begin using the RingCentral integration.


Add Your Number from RingCentral

Once the RingCentral integration has been enabled by an Admin for your team, setting up a phone number from RingCentral is very easy.

As an Admin, you can set up an Agency number to be shared with your entire team, as well as set up a personal RingCentral number.

If you're not an Admin, you'll only be able to add your personal RingCentral number, provided the integration has been enabled for your whole team by a Loxo admin user.

As long as an admin user has enabled the Agency Setup, non-admin users will still be able to use the RingCentral Agency Line, even though the number does not appear under the non-admin user's Settings > My Phone.

To connect your RingCentral phone number, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Settings page and select My phone.

  2. Determine whether you will use a shared number or an individual number.

    • If you are an Admin for your team and are trying to set up a shared phone line, choose RingCentral Extension Agency Setup.

    • If you are trying to set up an individual or direct phone line, choose RingCentral Extension Personal Setup.

      • Both admin and non-admin users can set up a personal phone line.

  3. Click the "Authenticate with RingCentral" button for either the shared Agency line setup or the Personal Setup.

  4. You will be redirected to RingCentral to complete the integration. Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.

  5. Once the setup is complete, you will see your phone number instead of the "Authenticate with RingCentral" button.

Note: RingCentral offers a "Blocked" or Private Caller option within their platform. Calls made using a "blocked" number will not automatically sync into Loxo, as the event cannot be linked to the phone number integrated with Loxo. For calls made in RingCentral to sync with Loxo, it must use a number listed under Settings > My Phone.


Text with RingCentral

In order to bulk text using RingCentral in Loxo, you must have a high-volume sending plan with RingCentral.

If you have a high-volume sending plan and have enabled the integration, no additional steps are needed.

If you do not have a high-volume sending plan and you intend to use RingCentral for calls, follow the steps below to adjust the integration for texting.

  1. Follow the steps above to turn on the RingCentral Integration

  2. Add your number and authenticate through RingCentral.

  3. Once your number has been authenticated, switch the "Use RingCentral's high volume sending" toggle to OFF.
