Once you find the right people to target for business development, communicating effectively is the next key step. Loxo incorporates communication into your business development workflow, whether you are targeting the top of the funnel or sending specific messaging to foster ongoing customer relationships.

This article explains how to send Outreach Campaigns while sourcing leads in Loxo and how to keep communication open with existing customers within a Deal in Loxo.


Add Prospects to an Outreach Campaign

You can read more about sourcing to build your TAM in Loxo in our Help Center. Once you've identified a point of contact or a group of prospects that you want to connect with, Loxo has the tools to start your outreach with a few simple clicks.

Continue reading below to learn how to send outreach from the Contacts or Employees tabs within a company record.

  1. Navigate to the Companies page using the navigation bar on the left.

  2. Open the record for the company that you want to contact.

  3. If you are working with Pinned People, or your key points of contact for that company, then you can use the Pinned Contacts section located on the Overview tab of the record. You can add each Pinned person to an Outreach Campaign individually.

    • If you need to check for contact information, click Fetch Contact.


      Then select which type of contact information (such as Work Email or Phone) that you would like to search for

    • Once you've got the contact information, click the "+Add to" button on the right side.

    • Select "Add to a campaign" from the menu.

    • Choose the campaign that you would like to send to this person.

    • Send or schedule the send for a time that works better for you.

  4. If you are working from the Contacts or Employees tabs of the company record, select the person or people that you want to add to a campaign by checking the box on the top right corner of their Contact Card.

    • You can select up to 25 people within the Employees tab, and this feature is only available starting on Professional Plans.

    • Once you've selected the people you want to include in your outreach, click the "+Add to..." button in the upper right corner.

    • Select "Add to a campaign" from the menu.

    • Choose the campaign that you would like to send to this person or group of prospects.

    • Send or schedule the send for a time that works better for you.


Call, Email, or Send SMS Texts from a Deal

Among all of the organizational features, you can communicate directly from a Deal card as well. Follow along to view how to make a call from a Deal, how to send an email from a Deal, or how to send SMS text messages from a Deal.

In order to communicate from a Deal, you'll first need to have a contact affiliated with that Deal. Once you have identified a point of contact, you can easily click to communicate with that contact following the steps below:

  1. Open the Sales CRM page using the navigation bar on the left >

  2. Click on the title of the Deal you want to view.

  3. The Contact details will be available on the right-hand side of the Deal overview.

  4. If your contact has an email address associated, click the email icon to start drafting an email (or to select an email template to use). Remember to click Send or schedule send to finalize your email.

  5. If your contact has a phone number on their profile, click the phone icon to dial your contact's number directly from Loxo.


    Note: if you use Ringover, you will be redirected to complete the call in your VOIP provider's application.

  6. If you have SMS text messaging enabled on your account and a mobile phone number associated with your point of contact, click the mobile phone icon to draft your SMS directly from this page.


    Note: if you use Ringover, you will be redirected to your provider's application to draft and send your text message.

  7. You can add as many additional contacts to a Deal as you want. Please note that if you email, call, or send an SMS from the Deal, it will contact your Point of Contact only, and not any additional contacts.
