Submission Summaries are just one of the methods that you can use to take notes and share information about the candidates in your Job pipelines externally. Recent updates to the Loxo application have introduced "Submission Summaries" to replace highlights for submission purposes. This article explains Submission Summaries along with how to use them.
In short, Submission Summaries are:
Polished descriptions used to share a snapshot of each candidate.
Job-specific information, easily shareable with clients.
Submission Summaries within the Job Pipeline for Submitting One or More Candidates
Submission Summaries are a great way to share polished messages or a quick overview with your hiring managers. You can add a Submission Summary to a candidate(s) digital profile by following the steps below:
Select Multiple Candidates to Submit
Open the job and choose the candidates you’d like to add a Submission Summary to.
Click the "Submit Candidates" button above the pipeline
Select what information you wish to share about your candidates with your recipients
Save your selections as the defaults moving forward, if desired
Click "Next"
Utilize the Submittal Agent to "Write with AI" or write your description for any candidate connected to this particular job.
*Utilizing the Submittal Agent to "Write with AI" will expend a fraction of a Loxo Credit.
Include Intake Notes if you have utilized these for notes you'd prefer to share externally. These will show at the bottom of the candidate profile as their own section.
Navigate to additional candidates with the number or arrow at the top of the modal or with Next Candidate at the bottom right.

Click "Next" to proceed to the file step of the submission process.
You have the option to copy a link for these specific profiles and send in an email or other messaging type. Otherwise, click on "Generate Email" to utilize your email templates or write a submission email with the link already added for you.
Make any changes necessary to the templated email. Note that candidates names will appear below the subject line, but they will not be contacted.
Attach resumes/CVs if you prefer
Click Send!
To enable candidate Submission Summaries as the default option in your Portal, account admins can navigate to Settings > Portal to turn "Show Candidate Summaries on Candidate Cards" ON. Note, the previous "Candidate Highlights" location are now internal-only notes and do not appear on an Executive Presentation.
Submission Summary within a Candidate Profile to Submit a Single Candidate
Candidate Highlights can be added to a candidate's profile view when using our "Formal Submission" process in Loxo. To do so:
Open the candidate's profile.
Click the "Share" icon, and choose "Submit candidate."

Use the Submittal Agent to "Write with AI" or write your own Submission Summary for this candidate - Using "Write with AI" will utilize a fraction of a Loxo Credit through the Submittal Agent.
*If a Submission Summary has already been added for the candidate, it will pre-populate in the text editor.
Include Intake Notes if you wish to share these with the hiring manager. They will appear as "Additional Notes" at the bottom of the digital profile.
Click "Next" to access your shareable link or email the link directly to the hiring manager from within Loxo.
Set the visibility of different aspects of the candidate profile.
Save these settings as your default and/or click "Next" to access your shareable link or email the link directly to the hiring manager from within Loxo.
If submitting candidates to multiple decision-makers, select whether to send the email to each individually or as a group
Attach resumes/CVs, if necessary - if candidates have multiple files attached to their profile, you can select the specific file you wish to attach.
Customize the templated email, add your own template or write an email from scratch. If removing the pre-populated message, but intending to provide the digital link, ensure that you copy the link before adding a new template or writing your own text.
Click 'Send' when you're done to share your candidate or schedule for another time.
