The Loxo Chrome Extension

Loxo's Chrome Extension can add candidates directly to your database and so much more - from nearly any page on the internet.

If you find a qualified candidate on social media or nearly any other website, the Loxo Chrome Extension can pull that candidate directly into your Loxo database, add them to a campaign, job, deal, list or call queue. Additionally, you can add activities, send emails and SMS directly from the extension.

Currently, the Chrome extension will only bring in people profiles, however, if you add the person to your database as a Contact, Loxo will add their company to your database as well.

If you haven't installed the Loxo Chrome Extension yet, please check out our instructions to download the Loxo Chrome Extension and set it up.

How to Use the Extension

Once the Loxo Chrome Extension is installed, follow these steps to utilize it.

  • If you are on a person's social profile that you want to add to Loxo, simply click on the Loxo Owl icon in your Chrome browser. We recommend pinning this to your taskbar so that you've always got easy access!

  • The Loxo Extension will open on the right-hand side and indicate that it's "Looking up Profile." It may take a few seconds for the profile to load, and you may need to refresh the social media page.

    • Note: If you already have this person in your database, the extension will show the last time the profile was refreshed and present an option to "Refresh now." Choosing this will add any additional information found on the social media profile without removing any previous details. The extension will only be able to immediately identify that this person is in your database if their Loxo profile includes a matching social media URL.

  • If the person is not already in your database, or the extension has not yet recognized the match, you will see the following screen.

    • Click the 'Add to database' button to import the person into your Loxo. They will be added as the default person "type," which is usually "Candidate." An account admin can confirm or update the default by navigating to Settings > Roles > Person.

      • You can select a different person type, other than the default, using the "Import as..." dropdown located below the "Add to database" button.

      • If there is visible contact information in a "contact info" section on the social profile, Loxo will automatically add this to their profile as well.

    • After the person is in your database, click the gray '+ Add to...' button to add the person to any of the following Loxo features.

    • Additionally, log specific activities, right from the extension by navigating to the "Activity" tab and selecting "Add Activity."

    • Search for which campaigns and jobs this person is a part of with the "Jobs" and "Campaigns" tabs. Click on the title or stage to access the job or campaign within Loxo itself.

    • Send emails or SMS directly from the extension simply by clicking on the envelope or chat icon and selecting the email address or phone you'd like to reach out to - choosing the phone icon will take you back into Loxo to utilize your integrated phones, if available.
